IglooVeranda combines a sheltered igloo with a covered feeding and exercise area; calves can choose between a protected resting place and an airy outdoor run, while the mobile structure can be moved for cleaning or a change of location.
Calves can choose the protected igloo or the covered outdoor area for feeding, resting and movement; the roof also protects bedding, feed supplies and the working area from rain.
The basic veranda structure measures 500 × 500 cm, and the manufacturer recommends 14 calves; 25 m² of covered area plus 14 m² inside the igloo provides approximately 2.78 m² per calf at this occupancy.
The igloo and veranda can be moved with a front loader to simplify mucking out; equipment includes 14 feeding places and stainless steel tilting troughs, with options such as bucket holders, a hayrack and a concentrate dispenser.
