Liquid mineral supplements for cattle, delivered with drinking water
Dosing mineral supplements through drinking water ensures high absorption and optimal homogenisation of nutrients. Liquid feed mixtures for cattle eliminate the risk of human error in feeding dairy cows, and changing the dosed amounts is effortless.
A simple dial controls the applicator, allowing precise dosing matched to the needs of the herd. The applicator works well in dairy barns, heifer barns and calf rearing units, as well as in pig and poultry houses.
Dosing system
Three options: 1, 2 or 3 pumps
Each option uses one drinking line, one pulse water meter and a controller. They differ in the number of separate dosing lines: each pump has its own tank and its own injection point into the same water line.
1
One-pump system
One tank, one dosing pump and one injection point. The simplest option for periodic delivery of a single liquid supplement, e.g. Super Cynk.
- 1 tank
- 1 pump
- 1 injection point
2
Two-pump system
Two separate dosing lines: two tanks, two pumps and two injection points into a shared drinking line. Two products can be run without mixing them in one tank.
- 2 tanks
- 2 pumps
- 2 injection points
3
Three-pump system
Three separate dosing lines: three tanks, three pumps and three injection points into one drinking line. For farms planning a programme with several products.
- 3 tanks
- 3 pumps
- 3 injection points
The diagrams are illustrative. The number of pumps does not mean the number of animal groups. Configuration, product compatibility and settings are confirmed with an advisor before installation.
Three steps
- 01Plan: groups, products and water installation.
- 02Dose: the controller drives the pumps according to water flow.
- 03Monitor: check product use and programme delivery.
Before choosing
- The amount of supplement taken in depends on water intake.
- Product compatibility and settings are confirmed before installation.
- The diagram does not imply giving all products at once.

Why do cows need minerals and vitamins?
A high-yielding cow loses large amounts of minerals in milk, and forage does not always cover her needs. Below is a short guide to what the key elements and vitamins in our liquid supplements do.
A
Vitamin A
Needed for vision, healthy epithelia (mucous membranes, skin, udder), immunity and reproduction. Plants contain no ready vitamin A, only beta-carotene, which is most abundant in fresh forage and declines in stored silage and hay. The recommendation for adult cows is about 110 IU per kg body weight.
D3
Vitamin D3
Controls calcium and phosphorus balance: absorption from the gut and deposition in bone. It matters around calving, when calcium demand rises sharply. Housed cows get little sunlight, so vitamin D is supplied in the ration. Adequate intake for lactating cows is about 40 IU per kg body weight.
E
Vitamin E
The key antioxidant in cell membranes, working together with selenium. It supports immunity, udder health and the transition period. Fresh forage is the richest source, and demand peaks in the last 3 weeks before calving.
Se
Selenium
Together with vitamin E it protects cells from oxidative damage (glutathione peroxidase). Deficiency can cause white muscle disease in calves, retained placenta and weaker immunity. Recommendation: 0.3 mg per kg dry matter.
Zn
Zinc
Part of more than 90 enzymes. It affects immunity, skin healing, hoof horn quality and the keratin plug in the teat canal, a barrier against mastitis bacteria. Deficiency shows as poor skin and hair and weaker immunity.
Cu
Copper
Needed for haemoglobin, bone, hair pigment, nerve sheaths and immunity, and for hoof connective tissue. Excess molybdenum, sulphur and iron reduce its uptake, so the balance of Cu, Zn and these elements matters. Too much copper is harmful.
Mn
Manganese
Activates enzymes of carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism and helps form bone. Deficiency is linked to poorer fertility, slower growth and limb defects in calves.
I
Iodine
Essential for thyroid hormones, which regulate metabolism. Deficiency can lead to goitre, stillbirths, weak calves and fertility problems.
Co
Cobalt
Rumen microbes use it to make vitamin B12, which the cow needs for energy metabolism, so cobalt must reach the rumen regularly.
Mg
Magnesium
Needed for nerve and muscle function and helps mobilise calcium around calving. The body does not store it, so it must be supplied daily. Requirement: 0.21–0.35% of ration dry matter, depending on potassium.
P
Phosphorus
Builds bone, takes part in energy metabolism and feeds rumen microbes. Cows lose it in milk (0.8–1.0 g per kg). On forage-based diets it is often the first limiting mineral.
B
B vitamins, biotin, niacin
B vitamins drive energy, protein and fat metabolism. Rumen microbes usually make enough, but in high-yielding cows supplementing biotin, niacin and choline can benefit health and performance. Biotin is needed to build keratin and hard hoof horn.
Ch
Choline
Needed to build the lipoproteins the liver uses to export fat. Around calving a lot of body fat reaches the liver, while dietary choline is largely broken down in the rumen. Supplementing choline is linked to less liver fat and higher milk yield.
